The Center for Advanced Studies: Finance and Inequality (CASFI) will host its 2nd Annual Research Conference, to be held on November 26–27, 2026 at the University of Bonn. Therefore CASFI invites submissions of high-quality research papers.

The conference brings together researchers in macroeconomics, economic history, and financial history to discuss recent advances in understanding the relationship between finance and inequality. Across two half-day sessions, participants will present their work and engage in in-depth discussions. A central objective of the conference is to promote exchange and collaboration among scholars working at the intersection of macroeconomics, finance, and the historical evolution of income and wealth inequality.

Possible Topics (including but not limited to):

  • Macroeconomics of frictional financial markets
  • Heterogeneous agent macroeconomics
  • History of income and wealth distribution
  • History of financial markets and institutions
  • History of growth, fluctuations, inflation, and exchange rates

Submission Guidelines

Please submit your paper or extended abstract in PDF format by September 6, 2026 to casfi@uni-bonn.de. Submission should include:

  • Title of the paper
  • Abstract
  • Contact information of all authors

Preference will be given to full papers. We expect to notify successful submissions by September 25, 2026.

Travel and accommodation expenses for presenters will be covered within the usual limits.
