Chair of Economic History Committee of the "Verein für Socialpolitik"

Carsten Burhop, Principal Investigator of CASFI and Professor of Constitutional, Social and Economic History, has been elected Chair of the Economic History Committee of the Verein für Socialpolitik.

One of CASFI's principal Investigators, Carsten Burhop, has been elected Chair of the Economic History Committee of the Verein für Socialpolitik.The Economic History Committee is a forum for scholars working on topics in economic history and supports academic exchange and collaboration in the field. In his role as Chair, Prof. Burhop will coordinate the committee’s activities and contribute to its ongoing work.

About the Committee

The Committee provides a platform for historical economists and economic historians to present and discuss ongoing work in the field. Every two years, the Committee organizes the German Conference of Economic and Social History jointly with the Society of Social and Economic History.
