6th European Macrohistory Conference on "The macroeconomics of (de-)globalization"
The Center for Advanced Studies: Finance and Inequality (CASFI) is pleased to host the 6th European Macrohistory Conference on "The macroeconomics of (de-)globalization" to be held on September 24-25, 2026.
A highlight of the conference will be the keynote lecture by Kevin O’Rourke (Sciences Po, Paris), titled “From MFN to ‘Reciprocal Tariffs’: Non-discrimination in Historical Perspective.”
CASFI is organizing this conference in cooperation with Rui Estevez (Geneva), Eric Monnet (Paris), Matthias Morys (York) and Kirsten Wandschneider (Frankfurt).
In addition to support from the German Research Foundation (DFG), the conference is funded by the Foundation for International Dialogue of the Savings Bank in Bonn and the Zentrum für die historischen Grundlagen der Gegenwart (ZHGG).
